O‘ahu’s future is too important to pretend we can keep doing the same kinds of things, with the same kinds of people making decisions, and make progress in these unprecedented times.

My experience turning around troubled companies in troubled times has taught me that a crisis calls for the kind of leader who knows how to adapt on a moment’s notice, make decisions as opportunities appear, and think outside the box.

Now, with a new administration entering office in just a few short months, we are specifically outlining the key actions that need to taken at the very outset of the new year in order to jumpstart Honolulu’s health and economic recovery in 2021.
